I’m so excited to join the faculty for the Erma Bombeck Writers Workshop this October at the University of Dayton, Ohio! (The conference is in-person and also available to attend virtually, Oct 20-22, 2022.) If you’re not familiar, it is the only writers’ conference in the U.S. dedicated to humor and human interest writing. Whether you write essays, articles, memoir, short stories or novels—this is for you! The list of keynote speakers, workshop leaders and comedians (yes, you read that correctly!) is stellar.
I’ll be teaching two workshops:
**The Birds and The Bees of Being an Author: (Mostly Undiscussed) Advice for New Writers
** Marketing Is Not A Four Letter Word: Find Your Readers and Increase Sales
One of my most favorite parts of my job is empowering authors with skills they need to be successful. Thousands of authors have attended my workshops, presentations or have worked with me one-on-one. They’ve learned how to publish in the most professional and successful way possible, how to market books to gain visibility for their author brand/books to increase sales, and what it takes to be an author. My workshops are designed for both traditionally published and self-published authors, newbies and seasoned writers, introverts and extraverts, writers of fiction and non-fiction. Not only are they packed with actionable strategies, they are always a lot of fun! Maybe I’ll see you there . . .
